Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wander off to the French countryside and find sanctuary and tranquility in the walls of a 400-year-old village estate? Well, now you can! Join WanderFreely Founder Nicole Hudson in Southern France for a six-night retreat designed around slowing down and experiencing life's simple pleasures.
La Belle Vie Retreat brings you to Naves, France, located in the Ardeché region. Here, the landscape is breathtaking, the river is refreshing, and food just tastes better. Naves is within walking distance of the town of Les Vance, where you will find traditional French restaurants, cafés and shopping. Grab a coffee and croissant as you people-watch and absorb your surroundings, or sit by the pool and luxuriate in silence. Either way, La Belle Vie is within your reach.
The Venue: Seigneurie de Naves
To stay at the Seigneurie de Naves is to find a place of peace and charm. Located on a rocky spur, Naves is a quiet medieval village officially designated as a "Village de Caractère." The lively town of Les Vans is located in the valley 2 km away – or just over 1 km if walking.
Naves has maintained its atmosphere into the 21st century thanks to the residents' dedication and restoration of the historic properties. It is a collection of narrow cobbled streets that lead to the village square, which has an 11th-century church and views across the rugged terrain of the southern Ardèche.
Shared rooms are available, all with private en suite bathrooms. Private rooms sold out.
