Join WanderFreely Founder Nicole Hudson and Madison Elyse for the fifth annual Costa Rica Yoga & Wellness Retreat. We are excited to return to our home away from home, Puerto Viejo, and to welcome you to a week of self-exploration, rejuvenation, and community connection.
Nicole and Madison met in Costa Rica in 2017 and became fast friends, connecting over their shared love of nature, Yoga, and building community. They have been dedicated to the practice of Yoga for over 15 years and bring their expertise in movement, mindfulness, and functional range conditioning into their work to support you on your journey.
The 2024 Costa Rica Yoga & Wellness Retreat will include:
Six nights at AmaSer Retreat & Training Center in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica.
Round trip shuttle transport from San José to Puerto Viejo.
Daily Yoga, Meditations, and workshops.
Two vegetarian meals per day at the AmaSer Cafe.
Trips to local national parks and beaches.
Private tour of the Jaguar Rescue Center.
Space to unwind and relax.
Time to disconnect from modern life and reconnect with Mother Nature.

The Venue: AmaSer Retreat & Training Center
Housing
AmaSer is nestled on a hill overlooking the Caribbean surf town of Puerto Viejo. This yoga retreat and training center is the home of Caribe Yoga Academy and offers traditional shared (2-3 people) Caribe Casitas with jungle and ocean views or new private jungle view room accommodations.
Traditional Casitas: Each casita includes a near-to-nature experience, hot water showers, and kitchenettes. Casitas are furnished with fans but do not include air conditioning.
Private Rooms: Private container rooms offer a king-sized bed, sitting area, air conditioning, and outdoor space. UV and sediment-filtered water and WiFi are available throughout the property, and laundry service is available for purchase. SOLD OUT!
Being in the jungle means that you will likely see toucans, blue morpho butterflies, howler monkeys, and sloths, as well as snakes, spiders, and lizards. Feel free to relax in a hammock or meander through the meditation trails as you soak up the sights and sounds of nature.

Yoga Shalas
AmaSer boasts two expansive Yoga Shalas with breathtaking views of the ocean. Flow through your practice listening to the sounds of the waves, monkeys, and parakeets. If we’re lucky, a sloth or two may join us for some of the more restorative moments.
Café
The on-site café features a vegetarian and gluten-free menu with specific attention to Ayurvedic principles and is sourced primarily from the property's organic gardens. Breakfast and dinner will be included daily, and in addition to healthy and delicious meals on-site, you will also have the opportunity to taste the many flavors Puerto Viejo offers, from classical Rice & Beans to Italian or Asian Fusion. The AmaSer Café serves a variety of juices, smoothies, and snacks, so feel free to relax on-site and enjoy a treat while you take in the view.
